Volvo has the tendency to produce vehicles that are extremely safe and durable. This is why we are not surprised when the next-gen XC90 scored full marks in the latest IIHS Crash Test.

The Insurance Institute took the XC90 and remotely drove the car at about 25 miles per hour before crashing it into a wall. The result was minimal damages to the front and no damages to the dummy. It automatically gives the XC90 full marks in the front crash test category.

IIHS even called the XC90 a superior car when it comes to safety and this is great for Volvo. After all, the Swedish carmaker can use this achievement as a selling point for the XC90.

The crash test concluded with the XC90 achieving the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and it should serve the vehicle well in sales.
